I manage the system we use to keep all our projects on track. It is a role that puts me at the centre of things, so I am involved with every stage of each project. I ensure we identify the assets we need to keep our work on track, that we are meeting each client’s budgetary and delivery timeframe requirements. It’s important to me to stay focused and keep our clients’ projects running smoothly and to time.
I have been at The Creative Engine for over eleven years, before which I ran my own design company, in parallel with working full-time for corporates like BT, and smaller digital agencies in London. Naturally the idea of working with a team of other creatives was what attracted me here, and having had experience of working in those positions myself, I knew exactly how to project-manage what others were doing. I understand how designers work, so can articulate a client’s needs in language they will understand.
I am not just purely design-focused, though. I am a trained NLP practitioner, which helps me empathise with all sorts of people. Not being especially technical myself is a benefit when it comes to talking to our back-end developers, as I can make sure everything comes back to what our client needs.
I have a young family, so a lot of my time is spent with them. When they are doing other things, my hobbies are developing our garden and interior design.
