They say that if you love your job, you’ll never work a day in your life. That’s certainly true for me. Code is my passion, so I’m very lucky that I can spend my Mondays to Fridays developing websites and apps. I work very closely with our Project Managers, who liaise directly with each client and leave me to get on with solving the tasks that they set me.

I am a code geek, and proud of it, and spend my days hacking about with JavaScript, Angular.JS, Ionic, HTML, CSS, PHP – you name it, I’ll write and debug it. It’s great to be able to put my software development Masters’ Degree to use in a live coding environment – as well as the skills I picked up in my last job, developing websites in Romania. That taught me a lot about fulfilling briefs to meet a client’s requirements, and working with some of the biggest names in retail here gives my job an extra-relevant twist.

What attracted me to The Creative Engine was the fact that it’s smaller than many of its competitors. It was clear that the firm knew its stuff, but it didn’t need to shout about it, allowing its work to speak for itself. It has a quiet confidence, which has been validated every time an existing client returns when they have a new project to work on.

I consider myself fortunate to have ended up in a place like this, doing a job where the team spirit is strong. I value personal relationships like that – both inside work and out – and I have seen for myself the difference it makes to the standard of what we produce.
