I have overall responsibility for everything that happens at The Creative Engine, from accounting through to signing off on client relationships. With a finger in every pie, I know exactly what’s happening in each department, and can guarantee that the whole team has the resources it needs to perform at its very best.
I have been lucky enough to work on some hugely exciting projects with a range of great clients. Those opportunities just keep coming, which makes every day incredibly varied and interesting. I believe in maintaining a healthy work/ life balance, so at weekends you’ll find me with a fishing rod, camera or beer in hand.
I came to The Creative Engine straight out of college. It was a very different company back then and had already built a name for itself selling presentation software. When Amstrad challenged us to build a presentation with our own software, I was the one who helped put it together. My course had been Computer Science, so I had all the logical skills I needed, and with so many of our clients being tech focused today, I’m still using them thirty years later.
I took over the company ten years after joining, and I have spent the last two decades steering a steady course and looking for the best talent to join our growing team. We hunt out people who can work under their own steam, and when they sign up I encourage them to think for themselves, make their own decisions, and do whatever is best for the client – who always comes first.
